How should I store my soap?
You should leave the soap in its original packaging until ready to use and store it in a cool, dry, dark place, out of direct sunlight. Our soap should be used within one year of purchase, since the essentials oils used to scent our soap naturally fade over time.
Once ready to use, you should ensure that the soap is properly dried between uses to ensure it lasts longer. Our soaps have no hardeners added to them so you might find them to be softer than commercial soap. It’s very important to store your soap in a well draining soap dish and not let it sit in water, otherwise it will disappear quicker.
Why is my soap “sweating”?
"Sweating” refers to the water droplets that can appear on soaps with a high glycerine content. Glycerine is a great ingredient in our soap as what makes it so moisturising! However, in high humidity environments (like a bathroom), it has a tendency to draw water from the air and hence beads of water can form on the surface of the soap. If you do find your soap in this condition or feels a bit damp, you can simply wipe off the water and re-wrap them tightly. The quality of the soap is in no way affected, this water is an external factor and not from the soap itself. As mentioned above, it is best to leave the soap in its original packaging until ready to use for this reason.
